Tony Herrera | President & Co-Founder
Tony brings to Tribalinx a very strong knowledge of our clients. He has been working for, and with, Tribes for the past 35 years. During that time he managed tribal enterprises, developed new enterprises, and trained management staff. He served as tribal program planner, administrator and Executive Director to all tribal programs. Tony has been elected to serve his own “Skokomish Tribe” as Tribal Council and Vice-Chairman at the same time. Also, he was elected as the inaugural President of the Washington Indian Gaming Association and helped to negotiate tribal/state gaming compacts, implemented the initial Tribal/State Tobacco and Liquor compact in Washington State, on behalf of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe.
During his tenure as the Business Manager for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, he built the Muckleshoot Bingo Enterprise which was managed and financed by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and served as the President of the Muckleshoot Indian Bingo Board. Tony developed the White River Amphitheater Project which became the largest tribal owned entertainment venue in Washington State. He managed a Bureau of Indian Affairs Land Acquisition Program in the Rocky Mountain Region and worked for an Indian owned non-profit program that provided therapeutic level foster care on several reservations in the State of Montana.
Tony Swansson | Chairman of the Board
Mr. Swansson comes to Tribalinx with an impressive track record of executive experience. Prior to working for Tribalinx, Mr. Swansson was a senior executive with Boeing for 17 years, where he led several multi-billion-dollar contracts and various divisions in the company. He was the General Manager of Space and Communications Services and an Executive Program manager for Ship Systems in Australia prior to relocating to the USA. Boeing selected Mr. Swansson as the Executive Project Manager for the Airport Security Program in the USA, a $1.5B project, and the Advanced Avionics Command & Control Systems Program in Phantom works – Boeing’s advanced R&D Division. Most recently, as Executive Program Manager for the Secure Border Initiative, Mr. Swansson led the team responsible for implementing a major international border security program. Before his leadership roles at Boeing, Mr. Swansson held management positions with the State Energy Commission of Western Australia and DKS Pty Ltd. Mr. Swansson also served for 20 years in the Royal Australian Navy.
